Hailing from a musical family, developed anfulnt desire for flute at the tender school going age of 10 at vishakhapatnam A.P. Unsatiable desires swelling within for leaps forward, approached his Guru & Mentor Sri Tirupathi Ramanuja Suri, a finished violinist and a celebrity in Carnatic Classical Music. Started giving performances in school / college years which were received in ovation that lent further stimulus.
At the age of 19 recruited in SC Railways Hyderabad, under cultural quota. This opened up new horizons to start career as a playback flautist as such in Private and Devotional Albums working with the top notch music directors. As an ardent admirer of Pandit Hari Prasad chaurasia, started learning Hindustani Classical also listening to Panditji’s and albums of established giants in Hindustani classical. Conducted numerous musical events with legends like S/Sri/Smt P. Suseela, S. Janaki S.P.B. Hari Haran, Shankar Maha Devan, Chitra, Mano and the likes.
He worked as play back flautist from Gulabi film to many top films till amma Nanna tamil ammayi.
Violin maestro Dr. L.S., after having heard Nagaraju on flute in musical events advised to go into solo concerts. Right ernest started career as a solo performer as well, floated Haromony Group of Music. Progressively started working with top notch musicians like Dr. L.S, Mandolin U Srinivas, Colonial Cousins, Shivamani, Louis Banks, Niladri Kumar and similar towering national and international personalities. Opportunities further opened their doors to perform in succession before heavy weights like ex.priminister Sri Vajpay, Ex.deputy P.M. Sri L.K. Adavani.
Had another prestigious opportunities to perform before Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in Rashtrapathi Bhavan in the group of Dr. L.S. and again another exciting opportunity showed itself to perform along side Dr. L.S. before Prince Charles in Parliament Bhavan, yet another memorable event.
Series of exilarating events in succession showed their way to score music for Afro Asian Games, world Military games. Also performed for Chief Ministers of A.P. Sri Chandra Babu Naidu and Dr. Y.S.Raja Sekhar Reddy in succession. Followed by another performance before chairman, Asia Development Bank on his visit to hyderabd. Performance jammed in conjunction with Mandolin U Srinivas and Shivamani on X National Youth Festival begot special appreciation from the late Sri. Sunil Dutt, parliamentarian and Bollywood actor of the yore. Yet one more performance in Dandi March at Surat needs a special mention. Acquitted most creditably in international performances rendered in U.S.A, U.K, U.A.E Countries, and Re Union.
Indefatigable energy, devotion to music and innovation have certainly paid enormous dividends to win accolades from elite audience all along and everywhere.
He scored music (with screen name Nag Srivatsa) for Jagadguru Adi shankara film for which top 16 singers of india have given voice.and the music and the re recording won accolades.... And won the "Mirchi Music award" 2013 debut music director.
